Privacy policy

This site is operated by Ashima Jain, Vadodara, Gujarat, India (“we”), who is the data fiduciary for the information described below. Contact: ashima.mining@gmail.com.
In short: we collect only what we need to recognise your contribution, we publish only your name, amount, message and date, we never sell or share anything, and we will delete your details if you ask.
What we collect
Only what you type into the contribution form:
- Name — required, so we can thank you and match your payment.
- Amount — required.
- Message — optional.
- Phone and email — optional, used only to contact you about your contribution.
- UPI transaction reference — optional, used only to match your payment against our bank records.
- Payment screenshot — optional, used only to verify a payment.
Your web browser also sends its IP address with every request, as it does to any website. We use it only to rate-limit abusive traffic, and it is discarded automatically.
What is shown publicly
On the public supporter list we show only:
- your name — or “Anonymous” if you tick that box;
- the amount;
- your message, if you left one;
- the date it was confirmed.
Your phone number, email address, transaction reference and screenshot are never shown publicly. They are visible only to the organiser in a password-protected admin area.
Tracking and cookies
There are no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers on this site. It loads no scripts from anyone else — a content security policy blocks that outright.
- Donors are given no cookies at all.
- A single sign-in cookie is set only for the organiser in the admin area.
- Your browser's local storage may remember small preferences — for example, that you dismissed the “Add to Home Screen” prompt. This stays on your device.
Where your information is stored
Contribution records are stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database and any screenshot in Supabase Storage, both hosted in Mumbai, India. The site itself runs on Vercel. Access is restricted to the organiser.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or fundraising platforms. We would disclose information only if required by Indian law or a valid order of a court or authority.
How long we keep it
Contribution records are kept while the fundraiser is active and afterwards only as long as needed to keep an honest account of what was received. Screenshots are deleted once the payment has been verified. You may ask us to delete your details sooner.
Your rights
Write to ashima.mining@gmail.com to:
- see what we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- have your name anonymised or your message removed from the public list;
- have your personal details deleted.
We will act within 30 days. Note that if we have already spent a contribution on treatment, we may keep a minimal record of the amount and date for accounting honesty, with your personal details removed.
Children
This fundraiser is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the fundraiser page.
